About

A proven communications and management strategist.

Able to deliver integrated communications plans, media relations and marketing campaigns, compelling publications, and digital content that activate diverse target audiences in both nonprofit and corporate sectors.

My path started at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. I paid for school working as an intern at an IBM office. While I graduated with a journalist’s knack for questioning, I turned right to become an IBM business consultant, designing complex management solutions for Fortune 500 companies.

After five years in navy blue, I pointed my career toward public relations and public affairs. I spearheaded issues management campaigns for agency clients centered on education, healthcare and public policy. My teammates and I found clever, creative ways to season a mix of media relations and advocacy on initiatives that made a difference in Chicago and nationally.

Now as a communications strategist for two decades, I have mastered content development on print and digital platforms for external audiences and internal communications. I earned a master’s degree in Public Services Management to get the big-picture view on how things have to work so that an organization will always have stories worth telling.

Words I live by: Change words to action and always find a way to make a situation better than you found it.
